ItemRecover was founded in Denmark in 2019. We started with QR recovery tags — a simple idea: put a tag on your item, and if it is lost, the finder can contact you without an app. It worked. Users started asking for more.
Over time, we built the Passport concept: a complete digital record for each item that covers receipt scanning, serial numbers, warranty tracking, proof-strength scoring, and insurance-ready export. The QR tags became the entry point to a much bigger idea — ownership infrastructure for the physical world.
