An ItemRecover Passport is a digital proof-of-ownership record for an item you own. It holds the receipt, photos, serial number, warranty dates, and any supporting documents. If the item is ever lost, stolen, or part of an insurance claim, your Passport is the evidence.

Yes. No credit card. No trial expiry. The free plan covers up to 5 Passports and basic receipt scanning — enough to protect your most valuable items. Upgrade when you outgrow it.

Yes. Cancel from Settings → Account → Billing. Your data stays yours; you keep access to your Passports and can export them at any time. If you cancel a paid plan, your account drops to the free tier at the end of the billing period.

For Business and Enterprise plans, our team helps you compile the full evidence package for an insurance claim: verified Passport data, receipts, photos, and an insurance-ready PDF report. We can also liaise directly with your insurer if you grant us permission.

Both. Every Passport has a unique QR code you can print or link to a physical sticker. Physical tag sheets are sold separately at the Shop, or included in the free tier (1 tag) and paid tiers (2–5 tags).

No — ItemRecover is not an insurer. We make your items easier to insure by providing the evidence insurers need. We partner with select insurance carriers who offer discounts to ItemRecover users. Check our partners list for current offers.

Up to 4 household members can access a shared vault with their own logins. Any Passport added is visible to the whole family. Each member can transfer ownership of items between themselves without counting against the Passport limit.

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and we prorate the remaining billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current cycle. No fees, no penalties.
