ItemRecover is free to start because we want everyone to be able to document ownership and improve recovery. even before they buy any physical tags.
What is free?
- Create ItemRecover Passports and store receipts, photos, serial numbers, notes, non-ID paperwork, and visual proof.
- Use scanning tools to speed up entry (always review results).
- Mark items Missing/Stolen and use the public recovery contact flow.
- Export Proof Packs for your records and insurance workflows.
What is paid?
We fund the free platform through optional paid products and upgrades:
- Physical IR Tags: durable stickers and key tags shipped to you.
- Accessories: optional add-ons, for example entry stickers or bundles.
- Business plans: team workflows, bulk tools, and partnership features for companies.
Why not charge for the basics?
Proof-of-ownership helps most when it is widely adopted. A free baseline means you can start documenting immediately, and upgrade only if you want physical IR Tags or business features.
